The United Stated Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) National Veterans Outreach office has been producing a Veteran’s Day poster since 1978. Artists from across the country compete yearly to have their work selected. The winning poster is sent to Military bases and VA facilities around the world. The poster below is to celebrate Veterans Day 2016.
The artists are to follow guidelines from the VA that state the poster must:
- Represent veterans from all branches of the service.
- The poster should also reflect the diversity of our veterans
The Veterans Day 2016 poster features the face of our National Bird, the Bald Eagle with the word COURAGE above its head. United States Veterans are courageous. Our veterans courageously travel the globe to protect us. Our hope is the VA will hold itself to the same standard as the artists that competed in this year’s poster competition.
We want the VA to represent all veterans, from all branches. We also wish for the VA to respect all veterans regardless of their disabilities. Too often the VA has denied the claims of our courageous veterans or under-rated their disability. When veterans are denied benefits or not rated properly by the VA, the whole country suffers.
We hope the VA is courageous in its ability to process claims for veterans with disabilities, and to give our veterans the disability rating they deserve.
Are you a veteran that is unable to work and have applied for VA benefits? Has your claim been denied or have you been rated too low by the VA? The VA Disability Lawyers at Woods and Woods have the courage to stand up to the VA and fight for the benefits you deserve. You have courageously served your country. There is one last battle left, and that is to make the Veterans Administration keep their promise to you.
